Project:

Modernization of an existing warehouse, setting up centralized material flow control for an automatic high-bay racking store (7 aisles), an automatic container storage warehouse (3 aisles), eight two-tier transfer cars, 18 picking and packing stations as well as six information points. Online simulation of the entire material and information flow with matSIMU prior to start-up.

Results of the Modernization:

• With its highly configurable interfaces matCONTROL integrated the warehouse technology provided by a wide range of manufacturers.

• The various types of handling of the conveying technology were also easily depicted in matCONTROL.

• The highly configurable interfaces and strategies also supported an implementation within a short amount of time despite the complexity of the processes.

• Material flow control can be adapted by DHL staff on their own to meet changing requirements.

• DHL Exel Supply Chain can now continue to operate the existing automated warehouse with a multitenant warehouse management system.
