Modernization at Nissin

Project:

Creation of centralized material flow control with highly configurable interfaces. This was made possible by the introduction of a multitenant warehouse management system while continuing to use the 28 S5 controls of the storage and retrieval systems.

Results of the Modernization:

• The retrieval strategies were optimized, thus eliminating problems in control.

• Problem handling was improved by the flexibility of the system.

• The installed software is not only easy to modify, but also supports rapid and easy integration of further warehouse components in the future.

• Improvements were also made in the area of routing and utilization of the conveyor system.

• Overall, the logistics processes were optimized in such a way that the daily operating times were able to be shortened despite the same order volumes.
