matWMS Add-on Modules
Controlling automatic warehouse areas
This module controls orders based on previously configured strategies and the parameters defined in the system management. Queue management guarantees an optimum, uninterrupted material flow in the automated zones of the warehouse. In the event of overflow or error on a path, an alternative route is automatically sought. The module also supports communication to a material flow calculator or conveying systems management.
Inventory
By using this matWMS module, you can select one of the three standard inventory types for every client: perpetual inventory, fixed-date inventory, or the inventory sampling procedure.
Multi-client capability
This module manages several clients in a subsidiary. Individual item master data, stocks, customer and order data as well as printed labels, storage, reservation and replenishment strategies can be created for every client.
Management of several subsidiaries
Several subsidiaries can easily be managed within one matWMS system. All master data, system data, order data, etc. are clearly assigned to the respective subsidiary.
Replenishment management and control
In response to customer orders, this module generates additional replenishment orders or regular orders in the client’s host system, which are filled by the order-picking warehouse and manual store to meet requirements.
Multi-stage order picking
If long distances have to be covered within the warehouse during order-picking operations, order picking can be processed in two stages to optimize processes. First, multiple orders are picked per item, saving transport efforts and costs. The picked goods are then transported close to the destination points, and then split into individual orders.
Multiple-order picking for all orders
To minimize the number of transports, the entire ordered quantity of items can be picked generally for several orders.
Item reorders using minimum quantities
A minimum quantity and order quantity can be defined for every item. If the number of items falls below the minimum quantity, this module is used to automatically send an order to the host system.
Communications server for hosting
This is an independent application for creating a communications link to a host system. Data is exchanged in XML format between matWMS and the host system. Data transmission to matWMS is already available so that only the host communications have to be programmed.
Dual server module
The dual server module is an application run on a second data processor. All critical order data, master data, and allocations in the database are sent from matWMS to this module and thus stored event-driven on the second processor. If a hardware failure occurs in the active system, the matWMS application can be launched on the other computer and assume the operation of the system with the current data.
